Tinkle Family Racing is pleased to announce that their driver, Zachary Tinkle, who drives the #53 late model will be introducing a military tribute paint scheme at his Memorial Day weekend race. The race is in the Vore’s Welding and Steel CRA late model sportsman series at Mt. Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Indiana for the Raintree 100.

The sides of Zachary’s car will be wrapped with camouflage and include the #53 over the camouflage in red outlined in black – his usual number design. Tinkle designed the paint scheme himself, just as he designed his custom numbers a couple years ago. On the back of his car, there will be a list of military members that are family and friends of Zachary’s crew.

His car will also have this paint scheme on it for his June 8th race at Anderson Speedway in the McGunegill Engine Performance series since it is the track’s Military Appreciation night.

When Zachary was asked about his inspiration for the paint scheme, he said, “I’ve always felt that the military does not get as much appreciation as they should get. I feel this paint scheme should show my and the team’s appreciation for the military. If it wasn’t for the military, we wouldn’t have the freedom to do things like race cars and I think people forget that.”

Following is the list of active military and veterans that will be listed on the back of Zachary’s car: Lewis Brown, Lenn R. Church, Leon Denney, Arnold Darr, Edward Darr, Gordon Darr, Jack Darr, Richard Darr, Robert Darr, Bill Eastham, Ed Gaines, Jack Grant, Brody Hall, James Lantrip, Mark Loyd, Tom McQuinn, Wayne Orkin, James Owens, Pete Owens, Patricia Stover, Ramath Tandy, Robert Vanderluit

Specialty Grafix Sign & Graphics Company out of Terre Haute, Indiana will be installing the graphics this week. Their motto is “Dominating the Bull Ring.”
