After a rough day on the previous Sunday at Lucas Oil Raceway at Fall Brawl, Tinkle Family Racing, with driver Zachary Tinkle, where just hoping to be able to get their car repaired and be able to race in Saturday night’s Advanced Dental Care Night of Champions at Anderson Speedway. Thanks to Crew Chief Danny Trent and the entire Tinkle Family Racing, and some help from VanDoorn Racing Development, Zachary’s car was at Anderson Speedway Saturday and ready to race!

The team came into Saturday night’s race with the hopes of securing Zachary’s second Championship of the season. He had won the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Triple Crown mini-series Championship earlier in the season, but the Anderson Speedway MEP Late Model Series Championship was one of the teams and Zachary’s goals through out the 2019 season. Anderson Speedway has always been a special place for Zachary and a Championship would be a huge accomplishment.

After qualifying second to former track Champion Jeff Marcum, Zachary and the team just wanted to get to the finish and take the checkered flag in the 40 lap Championship feature, which they did, with a third-place finish behind event winner Marcum and Ronnie Rose. With the third-place finish, the team and Zachary won the 2019 Anderson Speedway MEP Late Model Series Championship as well as the series 2019 Rookie of the Year.

“We won the 2019 Anderson Speedway Championship in the McGunegill Engine Performance series and also won Rookie of the Year honors,” remarked Zachary. “I can’t thank VanDoorn Racing Development and Danny Trent enough for all the hard work to get me in this race to accomplish this goal. Thank you to my team. Thank you to my mom and dad for letting me do this. Thank you to my sponsors. And, thank you to the fans for coming out to support me and Anderson Speedway!”

Zachary is still in the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman 2019 Chase for the Championship with one more Chase event left at Anderson Speedway this Saturday, September 28th before the series Season Championship event on Saturday, October 12th of Winchester 400 Weekend. Zachary will have an up-hill battle to win his third Championship of the 2019 season with the bad luck he has had over the past couple of Chase for the Championship races, but he and his team are up for the challenge this Saturday!

Next Event: Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Chase for the Championship race three at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 28th.
